Background[]
Aeric the druid reports to be the leader of the elven Council of Years, a small governing body that administers most of the day-to-day activities of the remaining elven people. In a stunning display of candor, he started our discussion by confirming the legends of people disappearing in the Endless Forests, are indeed true. To think, all this time elves have held the ability to travel through time itself. Coming from any other, the tale would seem tall indeed, but his in depth discussion detailing his duties of recording and computing such journey’s convinced me of its authenticity. The druid explained that during his studies of the vast threads on what he called, a Timewall, young Aeric interpreted a catastrophic moment in the not-so-distant future where all timelines converged and stopped. Alarmed by such findings, the frantic council member immediately informed the elven high-elders. Apparently even elves feel remorse, as the druid’s voice grew cold recounting the ridicule he received for his alarming theories. As reward for his concern, the Council of Years demoted Aeric to trivial mathematical calculation duties. A lifetime of study and devotion thrown aside in vain… or so the elf thought at first. However, recognizing the dire nature of the situation, the druid did not surrender, but instead doubled his efforts in improving his calculations and gathering definitive evidence. Persistence, relentless effort, and a passion to save all of Artara allowed Aeric to regain position within the council. Apparently, growing so influential over time, he would be elected as their leader. It is here, as elder of the council, Aeric set out searching for the distressing single point where all timelines converge. A point that has lead to the very tower I now sit within.Like most elves, Aeric seems reserved and somewhat distant. Yet, there is something to his nature beyond typical elven aloofness. He avoids long gazes of direct eye contact, as if to stare too long would uncover a hidden truth he wishes to remain secret.
Base Stats[]
The first hero that joins the adventure, Aeric begins the adventure at level 2, with 6 unassigned base stat points.
Skills[]
Aeric is a summoner, support, and ability damage dealer. Aeric joins the group with earth blessing, healing totem, and summon Ent. While he has distractions he is inherently fragile and not very mobile.
Playstyle[]
As a true caster he only has access to weapons that deal elemental damage (and eventually void), and cannot use a shield. He is fragile and depending on his skill setup can fill different roles. He can be a true support providing buffs, healing, summoning distractions, and debuffing or go all out for pure damage directly from his spells. Earth blessing is a party buff that provides earth damage to everyone attacks, and can be boosted to give both armor and magic penetration, and Earth curse can permanently reduce the earth resistance (the only permanent resistance reduction in the game) of everything on the map. Aeric can also summon a healing totem, an Ent and a water elemental. Aeric has minimum crowd control (although his summon, Ent, can taunt) and no real escape mechanisms, so he needs to be protected. Since he isn't dependent on his basic attacks. however, he can move without much loss in between skills.
Stats to chase[]
Aeric can fill more than one role, sometimes more than one at a time. He can buff, debuff, heal, summon, and/or deal direct damage. He will always seek mastery, and more mana recovery, cool down and magic penetration can both be very useful; he doesn't scale his basic attack that well so it isn't a favorable choice to focus on and if he is using one of his two direct damaging skills, magic penetration doesn't have that significant of an impact for him. Probably the most simple character to build, a lot of his functionality comes in his low dependence on having maximized gear. He is a strong option when resources are low and can be just as good at damaging things as anyone else with resources to spend.
